Pastor WJ Hughes was converted to Christ as a teenager and soon after became involved in singing and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the early 70’s he was called to pastor Coagh Baptist Church in Co. Tyrone. The church developed under his ministry and after much soul searching he accepted a call to Ballykeel Baptist Church in Hillsborough, Co. Down in 1986. He remains there to this day. His preaching and teaching has been effective in many lives. His ministry extends to other parts of the world. As a board member of Slavic Gospel Association he trains a new generation of pastors and leaders in Eastern European countries. He has also been used to preach the good news in the United States, South Africa and in the United Kingdom. Jackie is married to Ruth and has four children and 10 grandchildren. He lives in Kinallen, Co. Down.
